Give your car a break!
What is this activity? 🚌
The campaign is part of the European Union-funded project "Active2Public Transport" and is implemented by the Velo National Coordination Center (VNCC). The project with 11 partners from 9 countries aims to improve the connection between active mobility (cycling and walking) and public transport in order to promote sustainable mobility as a whole. The campaign aims to encourage Bucharest residents to test sustainable transport solutions in their daily lives and to change their own mobility behavior. Your experiences as a tester - both positive and negative - are important insights that significantly contribute to the success of the project. It is being carried out in parallel in four other partner countries in the Danube region.
In short...🚗❌
As a tester, you give up your car for four weeks and instead use a combination of public transport and active mobility (cycling or walking) for your daily trips.
Who can participate?✅
We are looking for 10 people aged at least 18 who live in Bucharest (or its vicinity) and who currently travel to and from work/university mainly by car (driver/passenger) and would like to test sustainable modes of transport. However, it is not an eliminating factor if you do not work/attend courses at an educational institution. The decisive factor is your daily schedule, especially if your trips are mainly made by car.
What do we offer?🚴♂️
A brand new high-quality bicycle (classic, cargo or electric) for the four weeks of testing.
What are your obligations?🌱
As a tester, you commit to sharing your experiences during and after the campaign, filling out a questionnaire immediately after the end of the testing phase and a questionnaire two months later. A bicycle rental contract and acceptance of the terms of use are also signed. During the testing phase, you are invited to share your experiences with the project managers in writing or through images/short videos.
What happens next with the information shared with you?
Your data will be processed anonymously. The results will be summarized, compared and analyzed together with the results of the campaigns in our partner countries in a final report. The report will be available on our website once it is finalized and will be part of the overall results of the "Active2Public Transport" project.
How can I apply?
Scan the QR code or access the following link and fill out the questionnaire. We will check the applications and get back to you as soon as possible.
