🚴♀️🚊From 11 to 12 November 2024, we welcomed the international experts of THE PEP/EHP Partnership on Healthy Active Mobility (WHO/UNECE) to Ulm together with the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport. Linked to this, we also hosted the third partner meeting of the EU-funded Active2Public Transport (A2PT) project, which took place from 12 to 14 November.
In an inspiring atmosphere, around 30 experts, decision-makers and stakeholders exchanged experiences and ideas to promote the integration of #activemobility (cycling and walking) and #publictransport in the #Danuberegion.
Highlights of the meeting:
✅ THE PEP Meeting: Exchange and synergies between the work of the international committee and the A2PT project partners.
✅ Study Visits: excursions in Ulm and Ravensburg offered insights into local solutions, including the redesign of the station forecourt in Ulm, innovative mobility stations and redesign of the city centre in Ravensburg.
✅ Good practices: An initial collection of good practice examples for bicycle parking facilities, cross-border bicycle transport and integrated ticketing systems was presented.
✅ Workshops: In small groups, we discussed the development of the Danube A2PT Action Plan in coordination with the Pan-European Master Plan for Cycling Promotion and the Pan-European Master Plan on Walking.
